Where do you call home? If you reference "Greenview" you are not alone, because most of us refer to this area when giving directions. You may or may not know that "Greenview" is not a village, but a subdivision with very little say in the community we call home.

Concerned citizens continue to work on efforts to move forward in establishing the village of Greenview. 

After reviewing the results of the area-wide meeting and after much discussion the boundaries have been defined for the proposed Village of Greenview.





What's Next Now that the Boundaries have been determined? 

1. Raising Funds through donations to pay for the professional help needed in these  final stages of the formation of the village.  In Progress
2. Hire a Surveyor to provide the legal description to be utilized in preparing the petition.   COMPLETED
3. Hire an Attorney to prepare the petition and to assist in the validation process of the petition in working with the Camden County Commissioners.  The attorney will also prepare the "Intra Governmental Agreements" needed with the county to handle road maintenance on the roads that are maintained by the county.  All other services; police, fire, ambulance, planning and zoning will remain in place as they are today until the Village decides to handle it in some other manner.  Petition Complete Ready for Signatures
4. Obtain the list of all registered voters within the defined boundaries of the area to be the "Village of Greenview".    Completed
5. The petition will need to contain the signatures of at least 67% of all the registered voters within the boundaries for the "Village of Greenview" to be formed.  In Progress
6. After the signatures are obtained Camden County Clerk will validate the signatures.
7. The final step will be to present the petition with the validated signatures to the Camden County Commissioners.
8. Camden County Commissioners would declare the "Village of Greenview".
9. Village of Greenview will be established and 5 trustees will be appointed to mind the business for the "Village of Greenview".
